Research
The research of the newly established working group focuses on three areas:
1. work and leadership in high-risk environments
2. user experience in human-technology interaction
3. civil security: preparedness and resilience in a changing environment
Occupational and environmental psychology at the University of Wuppertal is thus characterised by its focus on research into highly topical issues, for example work in high-risk areas, digitalisation or the consequences of crises and climate change. This is based on the conviction that we cannot just reactively meet the current challenges and changes in work and society with specialised personnel. Dealing with stress and crisis situations in particular should be approached proactively by all of us - individually and at the level of teams, managers and organisations - to strengthen our own resilience and ability to act. The working group focusses on both sides, reactive and proactive action.
