An important part of our work is the exchange with other scientists and continuous training and further education. Prof Meinald-Thielsch and Dr Mira von der Linde from the AUW team had the opportunity to do just that at the 3rd Theory Training Workshop of the German Association of Psychology (DGPs) in Münster. Prof. Matthew Cronin from George Mason University (https://business.gmu.edu/profiles/mcronin), who acted as moderator, provided various insights into how theory can be developed in a meaningful way. In a mixture of presentation, discourse and many exercises, the participants learnt a lot about the "why" of psychological theories, what programmatic and what unit theories are, how we create real added value in our research from a theoretical perspective and how we engage in a theoretical discourse.By attending this workshop, we were able to gain many new insights, have exciting discussions and also visit Meinald Thielsch's old academic home. Many thanks to the team at the University of Münster led by Prof. Guido Hertel and Dr Christoph Nohe for organising the workshop and to Prof. Matthew Cronin, who acted as moderator for the workshop.
